NEET 2021 – Synopsis
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET Exam 2021) is a common entrance exam for aspirants who want to lead their careers in the medical field. NEET is conducted to assess the qualification or eligibility for admission in MBBS or other undergraduate medical courses approved by medical colleges in India and abroad.
It is conducted by the National testing agency to open possibilities for admission to undergraduates every year. According to India’s government, students must qualify in NEET Exam to appear in college in India and abroad. After a lot of anticipation, NTA has declared NEET Exam 2021 conducted on August 1, 2021.

The government has decided to conduct the exam in 30 districts instead of selected seven cities. The NEET Exam 2021 would be through offline mode. NEET Exam 2021 Details
The NEET is the only medical entrance exam that allows the aspirants to fill all the medical seats in India and open getaways for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER or for medical courses abroad.
NEET Exam 2021 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria is a set of norms designed by the National Testing Agency. Lead every year, NEET 2021 opens possibilities for medical aspirants to get admission in MBBS and BDS colleges. Candidates must be passed out from the 12th class with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English Subjects.
NEET Exam Eligibility – Age and Citizen
While for General Category candidates, it is imperative to score 50% marks in grade 12, whereas for the category of OBC/ST/SC, aspirants should qualify with a minimum of 40% marks. Aspirants lying under the PWD Quota category must have a minimum score of 45% marks for appearing in exams.
- Aspirants should be a minimum of 17 years at the time of admission or qualify for it by December 31, 2021.
- The upper age limit is removed to appear in NEET Exam 2021.
- Aspirants older than 25 years can appear for the exam provisionally.
- Indian citizens, NRI, candidates of Indian origin, overseas citizens of India, or Foreign Nationals who wish to pursue a career in MBBS/BDS from a foreign university need to attempt and qualify for the exam.
Number of Attempts Criteria
There is no limit set for the number of attempts for NEET Exam 2021. Aspirants can apply multiple times until they achieve their desired goals.

Details of the Examination Codes for NEET 2021
Code 01
The code applies to those who have appeared for the 12th exam and are waiting for their results to choose this code. It is imperative for the candidate to have qualified as per their results; failing would result ineligible.
Code 02
Applicants who are pursuing a higher/senior secondary examination or possess an India School Certificate Examination equivalent to the Class 12 exam and come after 12 years of study need to apply this code. Students must mandatorily have the last two years of study in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, mathematics, or any of elective subjects, including English as a core subject.
Candidates certified for Class 12 in year 202 or before and have not pursued any course after their Higher secondary education have to opt for this code.
Code 03
Aspirants who have successfully accomplished their Intermediate or Pre-degree exam in Science of Indian University or Board or recognized body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and must have English as mandatory subject qualify for this code. The course should include practical tests in science subjects. Aspirants whose class the state board completes 12 or equivalent exams must go for this code.
Code 04
Aspirants certified as Pre-professional/ Pre-medical Examination after completing either the Higher Secondary Examination or pre-university or any equivalent examination that involves Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and English must go for this code. The pre-medical examination or pre-professional must include practical tests in these subjects and English as a compulsory one.
Code 05
Candidates opting for a degree course from a recognized university with mandatory physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology should opt for this code. They should have qualified for the first-year, including their practical test in the above subjects mentioned above. Aspirants should remember to have passed out the earlier qualifying examination 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology and English as a foundation course.
Code 06
Aspirants should have qualified from B.Sc from a government-approved University with two or more subjects from the following – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology. Also, they must have passed out their Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Code 07
Candidates should have passed their examination that is equivalent to Intermediate Science, including subjects English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology, or they must have completed their examination from a recognized foreign university.

NEET 2021 syllabus is dependent on the curriculum of classes 11 and 12. NEET 2021 Syllabus would remain unchanged.

NEET Exam Pattern
Aspirants can apply in Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Urdu, and Kannada. While filling the NEET application form 2021, applicants need to choose the language they are willing to appear for the exam, which cannot be changed later.
The exam pattern of NEET 2021 would be divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Multiple choice questions would be available. You could see the weightage and breakup of the question paper below.

Marking Scheme
Each correct answer would be rewarded with four marks; however, for every incorrect answer, there would be a reduction of one mark. No negative marking for questions not attempted.
Questions with two or more responses marked would be considered incorrect, and there would be a deduction of one mark.
